Road trip like you mean it! That’s our motto.

And as goooders when we travel we expect our destinations to do the same, accommodate us as they mean it.
Il Borro, the 4th stop of on our Goood Tour didn’t disappoint our expectations.
Vittoria Ferragamo, Ferruccio Ferragamo’s youngest daughter, greeted us at the gate and guided us through a beautiful path Surrounded by biodynamic vineyards and olive groves, she also explained why Il Borro’s approach to sustainability is thoroughly modern.

The estate now generates its own electricity, from a field of photovoltaic solar panels.

This is over three times the main hotel’s needs and the estate returns renewably-generated energy back into the grid.

Water consumption is carefully managed too: the estate’s lakes are used as reservoirs to store rainfall over the year, which is used for both farming and irrigation.

The restaurants of Il Borro are as ethical as their surroundings, chef Andrea Campani, uses only local ingredients, Vittoria says that more than km0 products they call them one step away from products.

In the medieval village, we met Elisa Taviti, 4th guest on the tour and founder of a made in Italy jewelry brand, Rasna.
She took us on a tour of the botteghe where we met the artisans that shared the secrets of their crafts with us.
We particularly enjoyed the goldsmith that explained how important is to keep the traditions of ancient manufacturers alive.

As Ferruccio Ferragamo said, "this place is an enduring act of faith".
