The Brazilian designer launched her jeans line strictly following her ideals in favor of a more eco-friendly fashion industry. To avoid high water consumption in the manufacture of Casasola jeans, the brand chose to work with BCI (Better Cotton Initative) cotton, locally sourced and recycled, which reduces water consumption by 80% compared to a standard process. In all processes, 100% of the water used is treated and 70% reused. The parts are even air dried to reduce energy consumption. In addition, Casasola donates 10% of its jeans sales to support the largest reforestation project in history for the conservation of the Amazon, a partnership between Conservation International and the Xingu Seed Network, who work together to plant 73 million new trees over the next six years in Amazonas.
Made with the intention of donating proceeds back to charitable organisations specific to the brand’s social and cultural environment.
