Hat-making is a traditional craft in Haiti, particularly in the South where villages are specialized in different weaving styles and skills to produce hats. There are three types of fiber that are commonly used for hat-making: palm, coconut, and reeds. In 2017 and 2018, D.O.T have invested intensively in the training of the community of Labiche, and the final products can now be blocked and embellished in the Port-au- Prince hub (D.O.T).
